भांडुप बर्ड पार्क प्रकल्पाची पाहणी केली
Heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of the people of North East Mumbai, to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji and Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar Ji.
Today, along with Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar Ji, I inspected the proposed Bhandup Bird Park project, which is being developed through the Mumbai Suburban District Planning Committee based on my proposal.
With a sanctioned outlay of ₹45 crore, this landmark project will feature state-of-the-art viewing galleries, bird-watching decks, and advanced bird observation screens. It will also create a world-class habitat for nearly 250 species of birds, including flamingos. The park is envisioned as a safe sanctuary for migratory birds that travel thousands of kilometres from across the world to the Bhandup region. Beyond conservation, the project will emerge as a significant centre for bird conservation, research, and environmental awareness.
On this occasion, Corporator Mrs. Dipika Sandesh Ghag, Corporator Dr. Hetal Gala Morvekar, Corporator Shri Prakash Gangadhare, and senior officials from the Forest Department were also present.

मी प्रस्तावित केलेल्या भांडुप बर्ड पार्क प्रकल्प, जो मुंबई उपनगर जिल्हा नियोजन समितीच्या माध्यमातून साकारला जात आहे, आज या प्रकल्पाची पालकमंत्री ॲड. आशिष शेलार जी यांच्या समवेत पाहणी केली.
₹ ४५ कोटींच्या निधीतून साकारण्यात येणाऱ्या या महत्त्वाकांक्षी प्रकल्पामध्ये अत्याधुनिक निरीक्षण दालन (व्ह्यूइंग गॅलरी), पक्षीनिरीक्षण मंच (बर्ड वॉचिंग डेक्स), उच्च दर्जाचे पक्षीनिरीक्षण पडदे (बर्ड ऑब्झर्वेशन स्क्रीन) आदी सुविधा उभारण्यात येणार आहेत. तसेच फ्लेमिंगोसह सुमारे २५० प्रजातीच्या पक्षांसाठी जागतिक दर्जाचे अधिवास निर्माण करण्यात येणार आहे. जगभरातून हजारो किलोमीटरचा प्रवास करून भांडुप परिसरात येणाऱ्या स्थलांतरित पक्ष्यांसाठी हे अभयस्थान ठरणार असून, पक्षी संवर्धन, संशोधन आणि पर्यावरण जनजागृतीचे महत्त्वपूर्ण केंद्र म्हणून हा प्रकल्प विकसित होणार आहे.
या प्रसंगी नगरसेविका सौ. दिपिका संदेश घाग, नगरसेविका डॉ. हेतल गाला मोरवेकर, नगरसेवक श्री. प्रकाश गंगाधरे तसेच वन विभागाचे वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.
